How we grade a sports handicapper.

Anyone can post a betting slip screenshot. A real handicapper can show you a full, dated, unedited record. Here's the checklist we use before we'll feature a capper on this site.

Our vetting checklist

Dated, sequential record

Every graded play is timestamped and posted before the result is known — no retroactive editing.

Units, not cherry-picked totals

Performance is measured in units risked, including every losing play, not just the highlights.

Real sample size

At least one full season, or 150+ graded plays, before we'll call a record meaningful.

Transparent pricing

A flat package price with no pressure tactics, hidden renewal terms, or "final spots" messaging.

What makes a handicapper worth paying for

The single biggest tell is specificity. A capper who says "I'm good with NFC East totals in the second half of the season" is telling you something you can actually verify. A capper who claims to be great at "everything" almost never is.

The second tell is how they talk about losses. Cappers with real, sustainable processes talk about variance and bankroll management. Cappers running a marketing account talk about "locks" and "guaranteed winners" — a phrase that should end the conversation immediately.
